sewn up

You can always rely on artists to identify the gaps in society and fill them…in this case, literally!

Maybe Juliana Santacruz Herrera was sick of tripping in the potholes in her local arrondissement. Or maybe when she looked up as she walked along the streets of Paris she despaired of the sea of grey at her feet. Whatever inspired her, we LOVE her response. The colour and softness of these rivulets and puddles of yarn against the hard rock is pure artistic inspiration.

She’s one to watch.

How clever! That's such a great trick to turn a bad situation into a seriously joyful, fun and beautiful exploration. Nice find!
